✔️ Dual buckle adjustable fit
✔️ Lightweight cotton for summer
✔️ Fits small to medium buns
✔️ Floral design, 4 colors

Every bunny harness moment starts the same way: your bun gives it the suspicious first sniff, maybe a little chin rub, and then you’re both ready for an adventure. This floral harness is built with two separate buckles so you can adjust the neck and chest independently. That matters because rabbits have such different body shapes from breed to breed. It’s lightweight cotton, which makes it a solid pick for warm weather outings without weighing your fluffball down.

Rabbit leash and harness that fits your bun’s unique shape

Most harness for rabbits designs use a single adjustment point, which means you’re always compromising between neck and body fit. This one gives you two. The neck buckle and chest buckle work independently, so a compact Netherland Dwarf and a longer Holland Lop can both get a snug, comfortable fit. For daily walks in the yard or short park visits, that precision means less shifting and less fussing. A well-fitted rabbit harness lets your bun focus on exploring instead of wriggling out of gear that doesn’t sit right.

Rabbits are prey animals, and outdoor time works best when they feel safe. Gradual introduction to any walking gear is important. Let your bun wear the harness indoors for a few minutes at a time before heading outside. Watch for freezing, thumping, or flattening against the ground, all signs your rabbit needs more time to adjust at their own pace.

Why does my rabbit freeze when I put the harness on?

Freezing is a natural prey response, not a sign that something is wrong with the harness itself. Your bun is processing a new sensation on their body. Start with 2 to 3 minutes of indoor wear, paired with a favorite treat or a sprig of fresh herbs. Most rabbits relax within a few sessions once they associate the harness with positive things. If your rabbit still freezes after a week of gentle practice, they may simply not enjoy wearing one, and that’s okay too. Not every bun is a walker.

This harness is designed for small to medium rabbits, including breeds like Netherland Dwarfs, Holland Lops, Mini Lops, and Lionheads. It provides a secure and comfortable fit for these sizes, making it ideal for everyday use and safe outdoor exploration.

How do I measure my rabbit for this harness?+
Use a soft measuring tape right behind your bun’s ears for the neck, and around the widest part of the ribcage for the chest. Measure while your rabbit is relaxed, not stretched out or hunched. Add about 0.4 in of wiggle room so the fit is snug without pressing into the fur. Write both numbers down before picking your size.
Can I use this harness on a baby rabbit?+
It’s best to wait until your bun is at least 4 months old and has settled into a more stable body size. Young kits grow fast, and a harness fitted one week may be too tight the next. Baby rabbits also startle more easily, so outdoor walks are better suited to older, more confident buns who have been litter trained and bonded with you.
How long should my rabbit wear the harness during the first few tries?+
Start with just 2 to 3 minutes indoors. Let your bun sniff it, walk around, and get a treat. If your rabbit seems calm, you can slowly increase to 5 or 10 minutes over the next few days. Never leave the harness on unsupervised. Most buns adjust within a week of short, positive sessions.
Is this harness safe to use with a regular dog leash?+
You should only attach a lightweight, non-retractable leash. Retractable leashes create sudden tension that can injure a rabbit’s delicate spine. A simple 47 in to 60 in lead works best. Never pull or tug on the leash. Your bun should guide the walk, and you follow along gently to keep them safe from hazards.
My rabbit keeps slipping out of harnesses. Will this one stay on?+
The dual buckle system helps because you can fine-tune both neck and chest separately. Many escape artists slip free when only one strap adjusts. That said, if your bun is determined and very flexible, no harness is 100% escape-proof. Always walk in a secure area, and check the fit before every outing. You should be able to slide one finger under each strap.
